Christmas is more than a celebration of Jesus' birth; it's a reminder of the victory that began in the manger. His arrival marked God's declaration of war against everything that crushes us—grief, addiction, guilt, and despair. As we live in the "already," we experience His peace, even in a broken world. But we also look ahead to His return, when He will ultimately crush all that steals our peace. Let this Christmas be a time to pray, "God of Peace, crush what's crushing us," and find hope in the victory Jesus has already begun.
