1. Legalists set their own rules for holiness. (Luke 11:37–38)
2. Legalists miss the heart of holiness. (Luke 11:39–41)
3. Legalists major on “the minors” and neglect the major issues. (Luke 11:42)
4. Legalists love reputation more than real holiness. (Luke 11:43)
5. Legalists appear holy on the outside, but they are not on the inside. (Luke 11:44)
6. Legalists pay lip service to the Scripture but ignore it. (Luke 11:45–51)
7. Legalists become stumbling blocks for people coming to Christ. (Luke 11:52)
8. Legalists love religion but hate Jesus. (Luke 11:53–54)
