The presence of God is the only source of power that can produce purity in the sinner’s life. The Savior alone can save you from your sin.

You cannot reach God’s presence through doing good. But when you come into his presence by grace, he then empowers you to do good.

Sin is a symptom of our separation from God. The solution, therefore, is not to focus most on your sin but to focus most on remaining in the presence of your Savior.

As Jesus said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
