Jesus and the Holy Spirit are called One Advocate in the singular in John 14:26, John 14:16-18, and in 1 John 2:1. For “Paraclete” in the Greek is in the singular form, which means only one “advocate, intercessor” or “helper” while “Parakletoi” is the plural form of “Paraclete” which means, “advocates” as more than one Advocate. Are there two who help us as Advocates as Intercessors to God the Father or One?
