Resurrection is “the act of rising from the dead; reviving something after it has been deceased.” It's God’s demonstration of power to intervene in death, and it isn't just a Jesus-story. It's woven all through Scripture. This is true physically, and it’s true spiritually. Every Christ-follower is one who was dead in their sins but was brought to life again through God’s transforming power through the cross, and we are not meant to be the same again—we’re back from the dead! And it calls for self-examination. To fulfill our God-assignments, we need to be able to understand what it means to be spiritually alive and discern the difference between those who are alive and those who aren’t. Then, we shouldn't be ashamed, reluctant, or hesitant to enthusiastically share what God has done for us because, as Christ-followers, we are back from the dead—and God can use our stories and our lives to help the people around us find new life in Christ, too.
