None of the points I am making in this video are intended to apply to dangerous situations, abuse, or infidelity. This video is intended to be a way to challenge women who are interested in dating or are beginning to date men that are of similar spiritual maturity. I find it hard to be convinced of the "don't settle" mentality... Our heart posture really has to be checked when we assess people against our own sense of SELF worthiness. The whole concept of don't settle feels consumeristic... picturing the men we are interested in as a product that needs to be up to our own legal code. Does this "don't settle" mentality leave us with an incomplete picture of the person? All that they are in Christ? The goal of todays video is simply to challenge Christian dating culture when surprisingly shallow decisions are made under the assumption of "honoring God". How can we do better as women to love men like Christ? What are your thoughts?
