Sunday Celebration Service - 14/07/2019 - Sermon Summary

Ministering: Pastor David Odumade
Topic: Arise with His Glory!
Text: Isaiah 60:1-5

Psalm 132:3-5

The statement "Arise with His Glory!", can be a source of encouragement, a piece of advice or a command to different people.

Arise could mean to stand up or to wake up from slumber, tiredness, weakness, stagnancy or bondage.

There are many things that can cause us to be awake such as challenges of life, problems, situations around us, but God is saying that we must arise and shine because our light is already here - Isaiah 60:1.

Many people see challenges as a problem and not as a means to arise.

Until your matter matters to you, God doesn't matter about your matter. There are some things that are subject to you arising and shining - Isaiah 60:3-5.

The people that are loaded are needed.

If you are in Christ, Christ will be in you! Even the demons will see Him in you and go away - Acts 19:13-15.

If God send you on an errand, there will be a means to get there.

The key sources of wealth are human beings, because for money to reach out to the world, it requires the intervention of people.

God can use anything, but human beings are still one of the greatest creations that God wants to use and He will use you in The Mighty Name of Jesus!

God will not tell you to arise and shine without giving something to you, and it will remain there and not do anything, until you decide to stir it up. - 2 Timothy 1:6.

Gifts, if harnessed well, can be used to help a lot of people.

If hopeless people arose, you too will arise now in The Mighty Name of Jesus! - 2 Kings 7:3-5.

Most of the talents that are wasted in the world are from the Church. 70-80% of musicians started from the Church.

Opportunity waited for David for 40 days and nights, but it wouldn't have waited forever. If David failed to go against Goliath, the Philistines would have taken over the people of Israel for free without any battle - 1 Samuel 17:48.

While you are getting old, opportunities too are getting old. They come with time. You need to take advantage of them. You need to take on challenges.

What are the things or ideas coming to you? What are you doing with those ideas? Begin to look for people that can help you with that idea.

Nothing good will come from nothing.

What belongs to you, doesn't belong to someone else.

Any faith that requires you to do nothing, and for God to do everything, is a useless faith.

Many of us are far away from where God wants us to be.

For a very long time, you have been in the same position, but God will help you today in The Mighty Name of Jesus!

Anytime God tells you to move forward, God is already ahead because God dwells in the praises of His People. God told Moses to tell the children of Israel to move forward, because God was already at the other end of the Red Sea, as that was where the children of Israel sang a song of praise unto Him.

Where you really discover God, is when you begin to give God thanks.

Hindrances to rising
1) Spiritual deafness or blindness - Job 33:14-17, Proverbs 20:12, Proverbs 28:9, 2 Kings 13:14-19. When people are spiritually blind or deaf, there is no way that they can hear God. The Bible is difficult to read for some people because they are not alert spiritually. When you are spiritually alert, God will guide you. He will tell you what to do at the right time. Ideas will not be dormant.

2) Fear. To be afraid is not in the dictionary of God because our God is strong and mighty! God doesn't like people that are afraid. Thank God for Jesus, because no matter what you are afraid of, that thing is afraid of Jesus. One of the major things that fear will do to you, is that it will not allow you to pray. Fear will make you see giants, instead of greatness. Fear will show you all the problems around. Fear will interpret something simple to become big to you. God will deliver you from all fears in The Mighty Name of Jesus! All the great people in the world today, took risks. If you cannot take risks, you will pay people that are taking risks - Joshua 8:1. If you keep what God has not given you, the devil is not far from your house - 2 Timothy 1:7.

Prayer Points
1) Father, in The Mighty Name of Jesus, every spirit of fear, I stand against them. Over-rule them!, Challenge them! and Send them out of my life!

2) Father, all the great ambitions I have had towards life, I refuse to give up on them! I refuse to accept defeat!

3) Father, in The Mighty Name of Jesus, as from today, I refuse to move backwards myself. I run forward to succeed in every good area of life! I awake from slumber!
