Thanksgiving Sunday Celebration Service - 07/07/2019 - Sermon Summary

Ministering: Pastor David Odumade
Topic: Awake, my glory! Awake
Text: Psalm 57:8

Psalm 57:1-7

While thanksgiving is easy, it takes only people that can think about God's Goodness to thank God.

Thanksgiving reveals God's Glory.

Your discovery about God will determine your confession about Him.

David believed in The Shadow of The Almighty, and not just in His Wings. You cannot be under the shadow of The Almighty God's wings and meet with calamity - Psalm 57:1.

David also believed that it was God who performs all things and that there was nothing he had achieved by his own will because by strength shall no man prevail - Psalm 57:2. He was a man that thought about everything. He was not qualified or old enough to be one of the soldiers in the army of Israel at that time. All of a sudden, destiny brought him to a place of opportunity.

Until you discover, it is unlikely that you are going to recover.

David realized that it was God that fought for him - Psalm 57:3.

The determinant of the song and praises that David gave to God was, due to the abundance of things that God had done for him - Psalm 57:7.

Until you began to imagine and think about the good things that God has done for you, you are not entitled to better things.

The devil doesn't want you to think about God's Goodness but rather on what you need.

What can kill a human being is inside them, unless God prevails over it.

Until you are oppressed, you cannot be depressed.

It is only the living that can complain.

You cannot achieve major things by worrying or by being burdened.

There is nothing that can work against the Lord. Only The Counsel of God will stand!

God and people protect what they enjoy. God enjoys Praises.
