Many believers go their entire Christian lives and never understand the necessity of the Holy Spirit and what He demands of the believer. Yet, apart from the Holy Spirit, you and I simply cannot lead godly lives. Paul says we must walk in the Spirit, what does that mean? To live each moment dependent on the Holy Spirit, sensitive to His voice, and obedient to Him. Without Him, we cannot do any of the above and we certainly cannot have a genuinely fruitful and victorious Christian life. So what is it that HE demands of the believer so we walk correctly? The Holy Spirit doesn't demand very much in this walk, but He most definitely does demand one thing, and on this He will not bend. Our faith is exclusively in Christ and the Cross, and that it be maintained exclusively in Christ and the cross.
