Growing up in the Amish church, Leroy only knew God as a distant and cold ruler, never feeling certain of his salvation and lived in the constant fear of damnation. Even after leaving the Amish church, he still struggled to know the true nature of God. Until he met the Lapp brothers, a formerly Amish family with a food distribution ministry in Pennsylvania, who introduced Leroy to the free teachings of Andrew Wommack, drastically changing the way he saw God.
