When a deep hurt from the church caused him to question the loving nature of God, Clay Caldwell dove headfirst into a life of heavy drug use and self-hatred, which eventually manifested as Crohn’s disease. After two decades, Clay felt he had reached his own personal limit and desired to return to his Christian upbringing. Unsure where to begin, Clay accepted his father’s invitation to take a trip to Colorado in 2012, where they visited Charis Bible College.
