Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the righteous; do no violence to his home; for the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity. — Proverbs 24:15-16

The warning here is for a righteous man not to act like a wicked man. In other words, we should not let irritating thoughts about other God-fearing people consume us to the point that we want to inflict harm on someone righteous. And the reason being is that this will backfire on us in two ways. First, it backfires because we will stumble when we act like the wicked. Second, it backfires because righteous men are relentless. They get knocked down and get up again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. And they do this because righteous men are fueled by righteousness, and its power is relentless.

So fellas, be relentlessly righteous today! Don't stumble by acting like a fool.

ASK THIS: Is there someone irritating you today.

DO THIS: Don't be wicked, be relentlessly righteous.

PRAY THIS: God, help me think, speak, and act like a righteous man today.
