Job 10:2 (KJV)
I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

Job displays, in this chapter, the raw emotions of a man faithful to God but in terrible pain.
• Many is the time I have met with those whose sentiments were so similar to those of Job.
• Many have been the times I have personally expressed these same sentiments to my God.
I do not believe we are to be faulted when, in times of affliction and pain, we say things of this nature. I do not believe God faults Job for saying them. Are these sentiments right? Many of them are not. In a clearer moment of thinking we hope we would react better. But these aren’t clear moments.
The purpose of such truthful passages as this is, at least in part, to help us process through our own pain. We will have friends like Job’s whose responses, though well intentioned, will not be helpful. God’s Word is helpful.
Allow Job to voice your heart.
• Hear God’s answers
• See God’s outcome
And take heart.
