Here's a Bible truth for you today. 2 Corinthians 5:7 declares “For we walk by faith and not by sight.”
To me this simply means that we don't walk or live by what we see (with our natural eyes) but we live and walk by hoping, trusting and believing solely in what the word of God says. Now remember; (Faith is the substance of things hoped for; and the evidence of things not seen).
Therefore, we do not put our hope and trust in things that we already see with our natural eyes; because those things have already come to past. There isn't anything to believe or to expect; because it's already here, it’s already been manifested, you can already see it, you can already touch it.
Here is an illustration for your, do you remember the woman with the issue of blood. Now this particular woman had a blood disorder that plagued her for over 12 years. She needed, she wanted, and she desired a healing for her body.
Well she heard about Jesus (and we all know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God), now after hearing about Jesus and his ability to heal folks, she decided to walk by faith and not by sight for her healing.
She began to hope, she begin to trust, she begin to believe, and she begin to say that “if I could just touch the hem of his garment, I will be made whole”.
Now because of her unwavering belief, hope and trust in what she had heard about Jesus and his abilities. Her expectations begin to grow, and she highly anticipated that she was going to be healed.
She begin to press her way through; to him. No matter what was going on around her; she continued to plow her way through the crowd of people… and when she finally reached him, she reached out and touched the hem of his garment. She was then instantly made whole.
Jesus himself turned to her and said, Daughter; your Faith has healed you, go in peace.
