Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through The Book of 1 Timothy in this sermon on 1 Timothy 4:6-16 entitled, "Biblical Expectations of a Pastor."
A faithful pastor will be biblical in his focus, his goal, and the execution of his role.
An essential mark of a healthy church is biblical expectations of their pastors. Some people may have preferences and opinions on what they think a pastor ought to be and to do, but neither preferences nor opinions are binding on those who serve as ministers of the Lord. In the end, the Lord Jesus is the Chief Shepherd of His people, and it is only His demands of pastors which are authoritative and binding. So then, we turn to 1 Timothy 4:6-16 to see a detailed description of what God expects of the men He calls to serve as pastors.
The following is a sermon from 1 Timothy 4:6-16 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
