Today, a statue of Billy Graham—representing the state of North Carolina—was unveiled during a private dedication ceremony in the U.S. Capitol’s National Statuary Hall, honoring the evangelist’s lifelong commitment to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world.

Mr. Graham is one of the few private citizens to receive three of the highest honors from Congress—the Congressional Gold Medal in 1996, to have lain in honor in the Capitol in 2018, and now have a statue placed in Statuary Hall. The 7-foot statue points to the hope-filled Gospel message he faithfully preached around the world for more than half a century, with John 3:16 and John 14:6 inscribed on the pedestal.
