This sermon was preached just prior to the US Presidential election of 2020. When an event like a major election approaches, we may grow increasingly concerned that "our side wins" but when we consider things from "both sides now" (to borrow a phrase from Joni Mitchell's famous song), we may conclude there's more to the situations we face than we fully understand. God's word shows there's more to being righteous than just "being right." In John 7:16-18, Jesus calls us to see--and LIVE--by God's Spirit.
