“Get her for me, for she is right in my eyes.” One of the central themes of the book of Judges is the phrase that’s repeated in later chapters: “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes” Our culture is loud and proud. The message of our day is that you should be able to do anything you want so long as you don’t inhibit someone else’s self-expression. But, what does God think about this?
