Sermon Discussion Questions:
1. What is one name given by God that has countered the way the world has named you? (You might consider examples from the sermon like “beloved”, “chosen”, “masterpiece”, “citizen of heaven”, “good and faithful servant” or many others from the Bible.)

2. Are there any other names within common Christian language that the church and the surrounding world are perceiving differently today?

3. Do you think there are points where we need to move on from a name that has become too misused or misunderstood? Do we need to stay with the names we have and work to redeem them? What are some pros and cons to each of these approaches?
