Called Through Heritage / Matthew 1:1-6, 16-17, Hebrews 1:1-5. The genealogy of Christ is so often overlooked but so vitally needed in our study of the Bible. God has presented us with so many truths of Who Jesus is that we cannot afford to neglect the study of His Word in its entirety. Matthew presents Jesus as the promised King from the lineage of Abraham and David. Mark presents Jesus as the Suffering Servant Who paid the price for all our sins - The Messiah. Luke presented Jesus as the King of the and promised Seed going all the way back to Adam. John leaps all the way back to the beginning of creation and names Jesus as the Creator - God in the flesh. All of these points are true and as the children of God, it is so important for us to study and know Who our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is. As we know Who He is, we'll also know who we are - in Him!
