Admittedly, I didn't use only one verse, but I used the one verse, John 6:65, to lead to the other points of Calvinism :-)
Arminians can never teach that saving faith is a gift from God, yet Jesus says it is in no uncertain terms in John 6:65.
The Lord Jesus totally refutes the doctrine of freewill in John 6:65 in His own words, and because the natural man desires their freewill so much, His teaching offended so many people to the point that they stopped following Him as John 6:66 says. John 6:66 is almost like a prophecy describing Arminians. The Calvinists will respond as Simon Peter did in John 6:68, but the Arminians would rather leave Christ like those in John 6:66, because they love their freewill more than they love Christ. It's an idol to them. The Lord said in John 6:65, "No one can come to Me", yet Arminians preach and teach the opposite; as though Jesus never said that but instead said "Everyone can come to Me". They turn Christ's words upside down.
