The Bible says in Ephesians 6 12 - 13 that we don't wrestle against flesh and blood, but against Principalities and powers and a spiritual host in heavenly places. It goes on to tell us to put on the whole armor of God, that we might be able to stand against the wiles of the enemy. But can a demon possess a Christian? This battle that goes on doesn't include being demonized are having a demon inside of us controlling us. That's the question that we're gonna ask today. Can a Christian be demon-possessed on hot topics?

Hi, this is Robert Furrow, and welcome the hot topics. If you're new here, consider subscribing to ringing the bell so you could get all of our new videos. The comment section is open below. We'd love to hear from you. If you have any questions, put him down in the comments section among those spiritual forces that we fight. The Bible tells us that there are demons. In fact, in Ephesians six, they're called the host of heaven and they're called wicked. The Bible also tells us that they believe and tremble they were under the authority of Jesus. The Bible says that he cast them out with just a word, Matthew, 18 6. They were able to possess men and women and Children and pigs in the Bible. But the question is, can a Christian be demon-possessed? And this is an important question because every so often there's a group of people that come out with some kind of a doctrine that says that Christians are possessed, and the reason you're struggling with some sin in your life is because there's some demonic force that is making you do it. The Bible never teaches any such thing, and we wanna look at that today on hot topics. The Bible tells us that Judas, one of the 12 disciples before he went and betrayed Jesus, was possessed by Satan himself, John, 13, 27 days now, after the piece of bread Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, What you do quickly. This was a disciple, someone chosen by Jesus. Jesus said to the disciples, Didn't I choose you? The 12 and one of you are a devil. So is this an example of someone who was a Christian, even a disciple being demon-possessed? Or did you just never have a relationship with Christ at all? The first thing that I want to consider is that he was not a sincere disciple. He was a disciple. He followed Jesus. The word disciple means a student of a teacher, and Judas called Jesus most often Rabbi. But as I quoted in John 17 70 Jesus said, I chose you the 12, but one of you is a devil. The word devil could also be translated as slanderer or false accuser. And that's exactly what Judas Waas. We're also told that Judas was a thief when Jesus had his feet anointed in Bethany by Mary, the sister of Martha. She broke that very expensive alabaster flask of perfume on the feet of Jesus and Judas, stepped up and rebuked her and said that could have been sold and given to the poor. But Jesus rebuked Judas and said, Leave her alone, What she's done, she's done for my burial. And then we're told that he did this not because he cared for the poor, but because he had the money box, and he used to take what was in it. We understand a little bit better than that. Right after that event.
