We were blessed to be joined by Paul Dowling, minister at Whiteabbey Congregational Church in Newtownabbey and over four days with six messages Mr Dowling shared with us admonishment with regard to our Christian duties from Ephesians 5:1-18.

Looking at modern evangelism we considered how many see Christian duties as a contradiction to grace. However in the book of Ephesians we see that Paul clears lays out doctrine in the first half of the book and then our duties in the second half. In other words, because of the things we believe, because of the grace of God upon us, this is how we live.
1. Follow God -- "Be ye therefore followers of God" (v1)
2. Walk in love -- "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us and given himself for us" (v2)
3. Flee fornication, sinful thoughts and covetousness - "But fornication, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints"(v3)
4. Flee foolish talk -- "Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks" (v5)
