In this verse, Paul isn't suggesting God foreknew you and predestined you to be a saved Christian. The contextual facts prove this but these facts are usually disregarded by everyone. When Paul says "those he foreknew," he is referring to those who God had known in the past, the remnant Jews who loved God. God predestined Jesus to come and save them from their sins and for them to be conformed to his image. Not only so, Paul was talking about glorification in the redemption of the body. The chronological point of reference is the Last Day when all are resurrected from the dead. The word FOREKNEW is those who God KNEW BEFORE this resurrection event.
