According to Jesus, the Holy Spirit is “another Comforter,” Jesus being the first. “He is called to be with you as long as you live,” John 14:16 promises He will abide with us forever. As Christians it’s important to cultivate Gods presence through the Holy Spirit: First, because in His presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Second, God’s presence identifies sin. (Genesis 3:8 says Adam and Eve heard the voice of God and hid because they sinned.) Third, the manifest presence of God turns back our enemies (Psalm 9:3). Fourth, when we have the presence of God, we have rest (Exodus 33:14). Fifth, we are delivered from affliction in the presence of God (Isaiah 63:9). Sixth, His presence is what we will experience for eternity (Jude 24 and 25).
The Holy Spirit is not a force or power, He is a person and can be called Father. The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead. He is God, Immutable, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Eternal and Source of life. (Luke 1:35; John 14:26, Psalm 139: 7-10, Hebrew 9:14, Romans 8:2.)
Divine encounter is a special visitation of heaven on earth; a meeting divinely arranged to accomplish an unusual spiritual agenda in the life of a chosen beneficiary for the ultimate fulfillment of God’s purpose."
