5:10 The one trusting in the Son of God has this testimony in himself. The one who is not trusting God has made him a liar, because he has not come to believe in the testimony which God has witnessed concerning his Son.

5:11 This is the testimony, namely, God gave us unending life and this life is in his Son.

5:12 The one who has the Son has this life. The one who does not have the Son of God does not have this life.

5:13 I wrote these things to you, to those who trust in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know you have unending life.
