A live show hosted by #GregStafford every weekday at 5:00 AM PST to discuss biblical and other ancient texts which are grouped together as they relate to specific subjects.

This show will be about James 1: 13-16 according to #TheGreatMessage translation:

1:13 When being put to the test, under no circumstance must a person say, "I have been put to the test by God [or, 'because of God']." For God has nothing to do with [or, 'no experience with'] tempting others by what is bad. To the contrary, God does not put anyone to the test.

[Note on 1:13: What is said here is, in fact, one of the primary points made in the book of Job: It is not Jaho(h)-ah, but Satan, who tempts and who tries to destroy mankind (compare Jesus’ use of “a murderer of mankind” for Satan in John 8:44).]

1:14 Rather, each one is being put to the test by his own personal desire, as it is desire which lures people away and then traps each one.

1:15 Moreover, the desire then gets to a point where sin results. Then after the sin takes place it begins to bring forth death.

1:16 You must not be deceived, my beloved brothers.

Other related texts discussed today include:

1 Corinthians 5:5 YOU hand such a man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, in order that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.

2 Thessalonians 2:11 So that is why God lets an operation of error go to them, that they may get to believing the lie,

2 Thessalonians 2:12 in order that they all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness.
