2:24 On the other hand, to those who remain, to those in Thyatira, to everyone who did not keep to [or, ‘retain’] this teaching, those who did not come to know ‘the thickets of Satan,’ as they say, I am not placing another burden upon you.

2:25 However, you must tightly grasp what you have for as long as it takes for me to arrive.

2:26 The one who prevails and the one who closely guards my works until the end, to that person I will give authority over the earth’s people.

2:27 That person will take care of them with an iron staff, the way pots of clay are shattered,

2:28 even as I have received such authority from my Father. I will also give to that person the early morning light.

2:29 The one possessing an ear must listen to what the spirit says to the gatherings of Christians.
