7:1 After this I observed four angels set up over the four primary parts of the earth, restraining the four winds of the earth, so this wind might not blow over the earth, nor over the sea, nor over any tree.

7:2 Next I observed another angel rising with the morning [or, "east"] sun, possessing an imprint [or, "identifying mark"] from the living God. With a great voice he spoke out loud to the four angels to whom it was appointed to hurt the earth and the sea,

7:3 saying: "You should not hurt the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees while we may still mark the slaves of our God on their foreheads."
