7:13 One of the elders answered, saying to me: "These who have been clothed with white robes, who are they and from where did they come?”

7:14 I said to him, "My lord, you have come to know the answer." He said to me, "These are the ones coming out of the Great Trial [or, 'Great Oppression'], and they washed their robes and they made them white with the blood of the Lamb.

7:15 Because of this they are before the throne of God and they religiously serve him day and night in his temple, and the one sitting upon the throne will protectively dwell with them [compare Revelation 21:3].

7:16 They will not hunger any longer, nor will they thirst anymore, nor will the sun's rays likely fall upon them, nor any extreme heat.

7:17 Because the Lamb, the one up in the middle of the throne, will shepherd them and he will guide them over springs of waters of life, and God will completely remove every tear from their eyes [compare Revelation 21:4]."
