1:15 All things are ready for use to those who are ready for use. But to those who have become hazards and to those who are without faith nothing is ready. Indeed, it is their mind which has been made unfit for use, as well as their conscience.

1:16 They openly claim to have come to know God, but by what they do they disown him. The types of people I am talking about are disgusting. They do not listen to anyone. When it comes to every single good work they are worthless.

2:1 By contrast, you must speak things which are deserving of respect in association with curing instruction.
