In this Mother’s Day Sermon 2020, Senior Pastor Bill Rains preaches a message from Judges 4-5. This message is applicable to today regarding society and the liberal ideals of "all gods are equal” and the supposed “antiquated” roles God has assigned for spiritual head of households. Here we find a unique situation where God uses a woman to do great things in his chosen nation: Israel. Israel had, once again, went after “new” foreign gods and God’s response to this was warfare from her pagan neighbors. No man would stand up for God so God elected Deborah as Ruler, Judge and Prophetess over Israel. Deborah arose as a “Mother in Israel” to do what men should have done in rising up to lead Israel to defeat her enemies. Likewise in the church today, if a man will not lead his family, God will use faithful Mothers to spiritually lead children to the Lord. God is calling on Mothers to rise up and take the mantel when Fathers refuse to obey God. Mothers who accept the role of spiritual leadership are making a DIFFERENCE. Many are DEPENDENT on these Mothers. Mothers who faithfully raise their children to believe in the Lord will have a song of DELIGHT to sing when they see the results of their labor! Praise the Lord for Mothers who willfully improvise to lead her children to the one true God!
