Today's reflection from Will is from Matthew 2:9-12.

In this part of the Christmas story, as told only by Matthew we are introduced to the Magi, commonly known as wise men, coming from the East. What we know of them is that they were wealthy, they were scientific theologians and they were “kingmakers.” In short, they were learned, affluent, influencers. And God weaves their lives into the Christmas narrative. Jesus welcomes them to his table.

At that table, He offers what money cannot buy, what education cannot inform and what influence cannot coerce. At His table, we can experience forgiveness from moral failures, deliverance from pride, and a new heart that allows us to love even those who are very different from us.
