“Deception Never Satisfies” out of Proverbs 6:23-33. In our spiritual walk and relationship with God, the enemy of our soul constantly uses the platform of deception to draw us away from God. Though we know this to be true when thought is given to it, often times the average Christian pays no attention to this demonic strategy, therefore causing many strong men, to fall for the trap. The truth of the matter is that deception never satisfies. Deception leads everyone to an insatiable appetite for the darkest evil there is in existence. No one who gives themselves to the trap is ever satisfied. There is only one who satisfies our soul, it is God, and God alone. Psalm 16:11 “you make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore”. Amen! This is why it is important to always be connected to God! God has given us a weapon to not only bring light to deception but giving us victory over deception. This weapon is the word of God! Psalm 119:105 “your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path”. The word of God has been given to us to defuse the effectiveness of deception. Proverbs 6:23 “for this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life”. Psalm 119:11 “I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You”. All of the preceding Bible verses make it clear, the word of God is, and always will be the most powerful tool to extinguish the effectiveness of deception. The word of God goes on to reveal the promise for those who use the word of God to remain faithful to God: Psalm 1:1-3 “blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of markers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law, he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, who yields its fruit and season, and whose leaf does not weather. Everything he does prospers”. The man who meditates on God’s word day and night is a man who can keep the enemy of his soul in check! The enemy relentlessly strategizes against us using deception as the launching pad to everything else in the enemy’s arsenal. The enemy continues to use deception to keep us in the bondage of sin and away from God. It is up to us to infuse the word of God into our lives so that God’s word is in the deepest recesses of our soul, giving us power and authority, through the spirit, to have victory in our lives.
