Have you ever heard someone ask, “How can God say He loves me when He’s allowed such horrible things to happen to me?” Maybe you’ve even asked this question yourself.
The truth is, God doesn’t cause pain and heartache. He doesn’t give us cancer, cause businesses to bankrupt, or orchestrate abuse.
Yes, God is all-powerful, but He gave mankind dominion on earth. When Adam and Eve chose to follow Satan’s advice, they passed the reins to Satan, making him the god of this earth.
Jesus came to reverse the damage that Adam and Eve caused when it comes to our relationship with God. He represented mankind as He sacrificed Himself so we could choose to follow Him and have right standing with God, just as Adam and Eve did before they sinned. But the effects on the planet remain. What does this mean? It means we live on an imperfect planet and sometimes bad things are going to happen, but those things were not orchestrated by God. God is good, and He has nothing but good plans for you—plans for hope and a bright future (Jeremiah 29:11).
God is love, according to 1 John 4:8. God loves you with the love of a perfect father, and He will never leave you. Just take a look at what these verses have to say!
Matthew 28:20 (VOICE): And I will be with you, day a er day, to the end of the age.
Isaiah 43:5 (NKJV): Fear not, for I am with you.
John 10:28 (NKJV): And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
