Today's Topic - He Wants The Real Deal

Today's Verse - John 6:37 (NKJV)

Do you ever feel like you’re hiding behind a mask?
We often hide our pain from others, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It isn’t wise to open yourself up completely to everyone you meet. However, if you’re never open with anyone, it becomes a problem.
If you feel like you’ve been holding everything in to the point where you’re going to burst, why not start by opening up to God? A"er all, He’s not interested in a fake relationship with you. He wants the real
deal, and He’s not going to reject you.
You can tell God about your fears, frustrations, anger and disappointments. The emotions you struggle with are not too much for Him to handle, and He won’t judge you for venting.
In fact, just flip through Psalms and you’ll see that King David o"en poured out his frustrations and fears to God. In fact, David even told God how frustrated he was with Him (Psalm 13:1).
Did David’s honesty about his frustrations make God angry? No...in fact, it brought David closer to God. He was able to move on from his anger and say, “But I trust in Your faithful love; my heart leaps at the thought of imminent deliverance by You. I will sing to the Eternal, for He is always generous with me” (Psalm 13:5-6, VOICE).
When you’re frustrated with someone and you bottle up your feelings, it only drives you apart. God has big shoulders. He can handle your honesty. If you are frustrated with God, or with anything else you’re going through, talk to Him about it. You’ll be glad you did!
