Do you make New Year’s Cultivate all these practices; live
goal and you’ve made up your mind, so it’s going to happen...right?
The trouble with New Year’s resolutions is they focus on what you a
want to change or accomplish, but often fail to determine how. This i is why so many give up on their resolutions, but this doesn’t have to
be the case. If you have a dream for 2018, you can achieve it. You can
move from where you are toward where you want to go, if you take
it one step at a time.
When we want things to change, we can get frustrated when it takes time. We have our eye on the goal, and it can feel like we’re not getting closer. But if we just change our focus to the step that’s in front of us instead of the goal that seems so far away, we wouldn’t lose hope. And hope is key because it motivates us to keep going.
God’s power to break free is in every believer and it will help you take that next step in front of you.
What’s in front of you today? Maybe you need to say “No” to something today, or maybe you need to say “Yes” to a simple step forward. If you want to get healthier, that could be choosing to go for a walk today, or picking a lighter option at mealtime.
Life is simply a series of small decisions—choices that can lead to something wonderful. Take one step forward today and you’ll be amazed at how quickly your dream becomes reality!
