Many of us grew up believing that the tongue is the strongest muscle in the body. Although that isn’t quite true, it’s arguably one of the most s powerful.
Today’s verse says that death and life are in the power of the tongue e because of the effect our words have on us. Now, I’m not saying that p speaking the words, “I’m going to die,” will cause you to immediately
drop, but over time, your words bring either life or death.
You see, what you speak affects what you believe. Words like these have a negative effect: “I’m so stupid. I’ll never get ahead. I never find good friends. I’m always running out of money. I get every cold and flu that comes around.” If you keep saying things that limit you, it’s going to affect what you believe about your potential.
On the other hand, if you speak what God’s Word says, you’ll begin to develop beliefs that cause you to walk toward His promises for your life.
The truth is God doesn't make junk. He has an incredible plan for your life, and with Him, all things are possible!
Every day, use the power of your tongue. In your quiet time with God, say things like this: “Father, in Jesus’ name, thank you for having good plans for my life, and for empowering me to walk those plans out. Your Word says that you cause all things to work together for my good, so that’s what I’m expecting today. Thank you that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Thank you that your angels are encamped around me, protecting me!”
