The world has a distorted view of what true love is, it's self serving and seeks whats in the flesh. The bible describes love as self sacrificing. Jesus ultimately displays this love when he died on the cross for our sin. We have been called to die to our own fleshly passions and desire, and take up our cross and follow him.
