Diluted message?

2 Timothy 4:1-5

1 I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom:
2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.
4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don't be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

Most of us if not all want to be accepted and loved by family, friends, coworkers and those that surround us.
Being politically correct, not to judge and to follow other claims alike, seem at first as the right thing to do.
You probably heard this one before.... "if you don't stand for anything you fall for everything". I could not agree more.
And this is exactly what we learn from this passage. The apostle Paul is writing to Timothy about the importance of teaching the word of God as it is. You cannot water it down, dilute it or change anything.
The word of God needs to be taught the way it is in order to be profitable and effective.
Apparently, way too many these days are doing exactly the opposite.
For many different reasons and interests the word of God has been twisted, adapted and even changed to fit one's personal agenda.

So now the question that stands for you and me is: are we explaining the word of God the way He intended it to be or afraid to be rejected we are diluting it?

I want to encourage you to stand for what and how you believe, and bring forth the word of God the way it is in order for you to be able to witness the results of the power that the word of God has.

Don't be shy or ashamed because the word of God it is the power of God to those who believe in it.
