good morning! Here is today’s word of blessings for you.
Revelation 2:18-23
18 “To the angel of the church in Thyatira write:
These are the words of the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze. 19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first. 20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. 21 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. 22 So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. 23 I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

Today’s title is “Do Not Tolerate Jezebel”

The Bible is deeply profound. It shows the spiritual matters to us like nothing else. The Book of Revelation is a good example of showing such spiritual reality. It shows heaven more in detail than anything else. It even shows the throne of God and the Lamb of God. That is indeed the true holy of holies. We have never seen heaven in such a way before. At the same time, the bible is down-to-earth and highly practical. The Lord who is at the heavenly temple watches over the earthly issues that the churches and believers encounter daily on earth. One of such earthly issues that the Lord is concerned about is sexual immorality. He touches upon it in His message to Pergamum. He warns about it more seriously in His message to the church of Thyatira. Jezebel is the symbol of such spiritual and sexual immorality. He says, “Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching, she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.” Despite their love and faith, their service and perseverance, and their spiritual growth, they were compromising about the issue of Jezebel. It caused spiritual problems as well as practical problems big time. The Lord says, “ I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.” This was exactly what God has done to Jezebel and Ahab in the Old Testament. I remember that I felt personally impatient as I was reading how patiently God has dealt with the vicious couple. The Lord is never quick to judge. Nevertheless, He is watching it closely and carefully. As the Lord had said to the churches, we still have Jezebels working in our midst. Sexual immorality is still one of the more prevalent causes of the fall of many believers and servants of God. You might have encountered such Jezebel in the past or even now. We have to act quickly before the Lord reaches the final judgment. God is patient, but not to be slighted.
