The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, but many of us who gather in our churches are not united under the notion of a fear, respect, reverence, or awe of God. We haven’t rejected God completely; we just haven’t given Him first place. Church, we need to recognize that God is our Creator and He makes the rules. We need to change and decide that God’s Word is truth, with authority and power. Then, we can honor God by loving the truth, obeying His Word, and allowing it to transform our perspectives and decisions. Begin to ask God to help you fear and reverence Him and His Word more than ever before.
