In the very moment of being restored, Peter can't help but focus on John. At the very time that Jesus is reassuring Peter of his future faithfulness, even unto death, Peter seems more concerned about whether John will meet the same fate. We continue to face the same struggle as Peter -- in our own walks with God, we're tempted to worry whether God is showing greater favor to others. Jesus's answer to Peter is also his answer to us -- "Don't worry about them; YOU follow me!"
