Our Response
Confessing our Sins:
Holy God, we confess our sins to you today. Among them, we recognize our weariness in obedience. You call us to serve you joyfully, yet we often serve grudgingly. We have felt wearied and burdened when we should have felt your yoke to be light and easy. We have not called on you “without ceasing” but only when it served us. Thank you that you nevertheless blot out our transgressions and do not remember our sins. We ask that your Spirit would give us greater faith, greater hope, greater love for you and our neighbors. Transform us, that we serve you truly knowing that your commands are not burdensome. We call ourselves by your name now, we rejoice that we belong to you, and we pray you would make us truly grateful for all you have done for us in Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray, amen. (Based on Isaiah 43-44)
