Have you fallen into a form of dead religion or are you refreshed in your relationship with your Lord and Savior?

Jesus said, “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” (Rev. 2:4)
This would be a painful thing to hear from the One Who loves us and died to save us.

Sadly, each one of us is prone to wander, to drift, and to fall into a form of godliness void of power.
When we do, we could find ourselves in dead religious forms - fulfilling tasks and following norms, but not passionately pursuing Jesus our Savior.

Jesus confronted dead religion (Luke 5:29-39).
His words fell on ears that were unable to hear and were directed toward hearts which could not respond.
It is likely they had no idea what He was saying.

As we prepare to worship Him and to receive His word, let us pray that He keeps us close in relationship so that we do not fall into dead religion.
