Introduction: Solomon continues his teaching and reflection on the foolishness of life. In this text we continue to see that life is empty corruption is widespread and labor is pointless without God. Although the text seems somber as other portions of this sacred writing, the lesson that we take away is that everything around us is corrupt and contemptible without a holy reverence toward an almighty God.
