We continue our study of the Old Testament prophet Elijah, a man "with a nature like ours" according to James 5:17 and yet whose faithful, fervent prayer proved highly effective. Elijah's prayer for drought revealed the sin of the land to the people, leading to a cleansing of the land through Elijah's miraculous witness to God, & ultimately refreshed the land through his answered prayer for rain once repentance reigned. Elijah's ministry pulled down unrighteous powers opposed to God & produced a revival of faith in the nation of Israel, providing a godly model for our lives & faith today.
