Faith is not the absence of fear, it’s the presence of trust in the midst of fear. Faith in God doesn’t eliminate fear, it overrides fear; this can be seen when God is speaking to Joshua as he is trying to lead the Israelite people.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
