These beautiful verses from Exodus 15 are sung during the Easter Vigil Mass, right after the Old Testament account of how God rescues the fleeing Israelites from the pursuing Egyptian army, in Exodus 14:15 - 15:1. It is a song of victory sung by Moses and the Israelites, in honour of God, who delivered them from the clutches of the Egyptians.
