Most people believe that when grandma dies, she goes to heaven, but is it really how it works? This type of belief is based on the two bible verses from 2 Corinthian 5:8 and Philippians 1:23, which if read alone, or if taken out of context, may lead the reader to a wrong conclusion.

First passage is found in 2nd epistle of the apostle Paul to the Cor. 5:8: “I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

The second one, similar to this, is found in Paul’s epistle to the Philip. 1:23 “For I am in a strait between two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.”
